Brenda landed in Des Moines by way of Sacramento, California. As a west coast teenager, she opted for community outreach programs & volunteering in the Native American community over sand volleyball.
But Brenda's start in marketing wasn't far off. She took her first step when she chose Graceland University, in Lamoni, Iowa. They offered ambitious students a world-class SIFE program (now Enactus). With Brenda on board, the team reached the national championship & top eight. In back-to-back years.
In 2010, Brenda took her degree in business admin (emphasis in management, marketing & entrepreneurship) straight to Wells Fargo. She worked as a credit manager & loan adjuster until moving into retail management with Fossil. After leading in sales, she was recruited to the management team at Cache. Oh yeah, & she lead in sales there too.
Brenda, like many other twenty-somethings had a strong literary passion for blogging, social media, & all things revolving technology. This new movement across all nations had yet to be defined & Brenda was determined to set the tone for the technology revolution.
In 2011, Brenda launched Red Shoe Media with co-founder, Bryan, to service small & medium sized businesses. The company now represents brands nationally as well as globally. She also successfully launched her second business, Happily Ever Iowa in the fall of 2015.
